The Dever Society’s 2025 AGM will take place on Tuesday 15th April 2025 at 7.30pm at the Warren Centre, Micheldever Station SO21 3AR.

In an exclusive report, Ireland's Business Post newspaper is reporting today that the Micheldever new town developer Michael O'Flynn and the billionaire John Magnier have 'teamed up to build a controversial new 20,000-home new town in rural England" on 4,200 acres of farmland owned by John Magnier around Micheldever.

O’Flynn Group, the developer of Micheldever Station new town, has confirmed that they have submitted their proposal to the government’s New Towns Task Force.

A mural representing local wildlife has been unveiled by Winchester’s mayor at Micheldever railway station. The colourful mural was painted by local artist Sian Storey and was supported financially by the Dever Society.

Liberal Democrat Danny Chambers, the new MP for Winchester, has stated publicly that he opposes John Magnier and O’Flynn Group’s plans for the new town at Micheldever, as well as Basingstoke Council’s proposal for a 3,000 ‘garden village’ on Popham Airfield.

Over 70 people attended the AGM on 11th June at the Warren Centre.

The Dever Society’s 2024 AGM will take place at the Warren Centre, Micheldever Station at 7.30pm on Tuesday 11th June 2024.
